Please join us for Meet the Teacher & Curriculum Night that is scheduled for Thursday October 9 from 6:30 - 7:20 pm . The evening will be divided into 2 - 30 minute sessions. The 1st session begins at 6:30-6:50 pm and allows for a 10 minute changeover. The 2nd session runs from 7-7:20 pm. We say goodnight to families at 7:30 pm with an announcement. We are looking forward to seeing everyone!

We have hot, hot, hot (maybe not) packaged popcorn for sale every Friday at morning recess. If there is a PA day on Friday, we sell on Thursday of that specific week. Sales start this coming Friday.   

  Hello LJPS Community Members, Lorna Jackson Public School is getting ready for the 2025 Terry Fox School Run ! Again this year we are super excited to take part in this annual tradition that supports cancer research while building school spirit. We are excited to announce this year that we will be holding our annual Terry Fox walk on Thursday September 25th. Once again this year, we will be asking students to support this cause by bringing in their  ‘Toonies for Terry’  to help continue Terry’s legacy and raise funds to help beat cancer. New this year, please find our our LJPS school page  if you wish or prefer to donate online  (donations are made to the school, not to a classroom). Our walk will begin at 1:45. We will be leaving the school heading east along Napa Valley Avenue to Forest Fountain Drive . Welcome back to everyone in our Lorna Jackson P.S. community! We hope that everyone has had an enjoyable and restful summer break. Mr. Brown, Principal and Ms. Chatterpaul, Vice Principal would like to extend a warm welcome to all our returning and new staff that have joined us this 2025-2026 school year.  We say "Good Bye," to Mrs. Herdman, Mrs. Ho, Mrs. Acquisto and Mme. Sacco who have moved on to other teaching adventures at other school communities in YRDSB. We want to welcome our new teachers and support staff, Ms. Akhtar and Mrs. Lee and all the teaching experiences they bring to LJPS.
