Good morning LJPS community. As you are all aware, due to the recent cyber attack on the YRDSB network report card delivery via student Gapps accounts has been delayed and those reports will be shared with families once the network is restored. In our best effort to continue to share student progress aligned with Parent-Teacher Interviews on Thursday November 16 and Friday November 17, LJPS will be sending home a hard copy of Progress Report Cards with students. Thanks for your patience as YRDSB works to restore its network.

November 3, 2023   Parents’ Night is on Thursday November 16, 2023 and during the day of Friday November 17, 2023. You will have an opportunity to meet with your child(ren)’s teacher(s) in person, and learn more about the classroom. Edsby is the online tool supported for scheduling elementary interviews/conferences. Families will receive an invitation to sign up for a meeting time once the schedules are available on Monday November 6 at 4 pm .  Edsby is a cloud-based platform that lets families easily reserve times to meet with your child(ren)’s teachers. YRDSB in partnership with Edsby have created a secure platform that protects the privacy of information for families. Families that already have an Edsby account may use their previously created account. Parent Drop Off & Walking Students Please be mindful of our school start and end times. School begins at 8:45 am sharp. Students are permitted on school property at 8:30 am. Please use this opportunity to get your child (ren) to school on time. When students are late, this is extremely disruptive to their learning as they enter class after instruction has begun.  Daily Child Screening As the cold and flu season is upon us, we are experiencing many students showing up to that are not feeling well, have upset stomach, are coughing, and in some cases vomiting. Please do not send sick children to school as this continues the spread of illness and COVID. Please use the Daily Child Screening tool to help determine if your child is ill and not able to attend school. Please use Edsby or call the office to communicate student absences.
