Appropriate Footwear Requirements at LJPS

 Dear Parents and Guardians, As we head into the busier, more active days of the school year, we want to ensure our students are safe, comfortable, and ready to learn and play. To help us achieve this, we would like to remind everyone about our school's footwear policy. Appropriate Footwear Requirements For daily school activities, recess, and physical education classes, students are required to wear secure, athletic-style shoes. What to wear: Proper lace-up or velcro running shoes that provide good support and stay firmly on the feet. What to leave at home: Slides, Crocs, flip-flops, platform shoes, and backless sandals. --- Why this matters: Safety First: Our students love to run, jump, and play during recess and gym class. Slip-on shoes like Crocs and slides significantly increase the risk of trips, falls, and ankle injuries.
