School Safety Campaign at LJPS

Our LJPS Active School Travel Safety Campaign has begun. You will notice signs placed around the school property. The goal of the campaign is to:

  1. Improve student drop-off and pick-up activity in the school zone.
  2. Remind ALL drivers to be more mindful when driving through school zones.
  3. Raise awareness about sustainable modes of transportation to and from school.

We all have a responsibility in helping to create safe school zones and supporting student safety and well-being. Let’s think collectively and work to ensure our school zones are safe for all of our community members and students.

Mr. Brown, Principal and Mrs. Herdman, Vice Principal would like to extend a warm welcome to all our returning and new staff that have joined us this 2023-2024 school year.  We also want to share that our educator teams have worked diligently to prepare for students' return to school so that 2023-2024 will be another great year!  We would like to share a few helpful tips for starting the school day off on the right foot. Meet the Teacher & Curriculum Night 2025

Please join us for Meet the Teacher & Curriculum Night that is scheduled for Thursday October 9 from 6:30 - 7:20 pm . The evening will be divided into 2 - 30 minute sessions. The 1st session begins at 6:30-6:50 pm and allows for a 10 minute changeover. The 2nd session runs from 7-7:20 pm. We say goodnight to families at 7:30 pm with an announcement. We are looking forward to seeing everyone!
